Biography
Hashim Al Zain
Dr. Hashim AlZain is a pioneering mechanical engineer and industrial innovation specialist with over 24 years of expertise in advanced machine design, digital manufacturing, and strategic localization.
As the co-founder and former CTO of DarTec Engineering and HealTec Manufacturing, he established the Kingdom’s 1st specialized reverse engineering and prosthetic manufacturing firms, successfully localizing over 3,000 critical parts for Tier-1 entities like Saudi Aramco, SABIC, and SEC.
His technical expertise and business acumen is anchored by a PhD and a Masters Certificate in Project Management from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Master’s and Bachelor’s from Iowa State University, where his early career included advising NASA on Mars Rover reconfigurations.
Currently, Dr. AlZain focuses on executive consulting and industrial execution strategy for regional industrial projects, while also serving as a collaborator with the KAUST Fourth Industrial Revolution Research (4IRR) Center.
