The story

Built by people who were tired of conferences.

Converge began in 2019 when four founders compared notes after yet another conference of sponsor keynotes and recycled slide decks. The hypothesis was simple: a room full of practitioners, given honest talks and enough coffee, would outperform any expo floor.

Seven editions later the room holds 2,400 people, but the filter has not changed. Speakers are operators. Talks carry specifics. Panels are capped because four people agreeing politely is not content.

In 2026 we move to Kraftwerk Berlin — a former power plant whose concrete and steel match what the conference is about: things built to last, repurposed with intent.

What we believe

Four rules, no exceptions.

01

Operators over commentators

Every speaker has done the thing they talk about. We weight scars and shipping receipts over follower counts.

02

Specifics over inspiration

A talk must carry a number, an artifact, or a postmortem. Vague motivation is free on the internet; Converge is not.

03

Attendees over sponsors

No pay-to-play slots and no sponsor keynotes. Partners get a hall and honest foot traffic — never the stage.

04

Disagreement over consensus

If a proposal reads like what everyone already believes, it goes to the bottom of the pile. Converge exists to move thinking.

The venue

Online / Virtual

Three thousand square meters of raw concrete, ceilings high enough to make a thousand-person audience feel intimate, and a rooftop over the Spree for the evening receptions. Main stage, workshops, and sponsor hall under one roof — lunch is forty steps from the keynote.
