We read all 1,100 feedback forms. The three changes attendees demanded most — and the one beloved tradition we refused to kill.
After every edition we read every feedback form. Last year that meant 1,100 responses, and three requests appeared so often we had no choice but to act.
More workshops, fewer panels. Attendees told us panels too often become four people agreeing politely. So this year panels are capped at four slots, and hands-on workshops doubled from three to six.
Real food, real coffee. The 2025 catering scores were, charitably, a cry for help. We have brought in a Berlin roastery and three local kitchens, and lunch is now a seated affair instead of a queue.
Quieter spaces. A conference of 2,400 people is loud by definition. The new venue gives us a dedicated quiet room and a no-laptops library corner in Hall B.
And the tradition we refused to kill: the open mic session “Failures Worth Repeating.” A few forms called it unpolished. That is precisely the point. It stays.
